The “Durrrr” Challenge…
As I am sure most of you have heard already, Tom “Durrrr” Dwan has announced that he will challenge anyone in heads-up online poker play for a chance for the challenger to win $1 million. He is willing to put up $1.5 million to any challengers $500,000…Although he said in some of his statements posted on several online sources that this wasn’t supposed to go public yet the word has been spreading fast across the poker world. The challenge basically consists of him and whoever will take up on his challenge to be playing four tables at a time heads-up with a minimum $200/$400 blinds. They both have to play at least 50,000 hands and whichever one of them finishes with more profit or being the least in minus wins the bet. Now if you ask me, two things come to my mind right away. First is that Tom must be feeling pretty confident about his game right now willing to put up a million more than his opponent. The second is that if I had that kind of money to gamble with then it sounds like a pretty sweet deal. A chance to win a million while putting up only $500,000…Supposedly Patrick Antonius has already accepted the challenge and a couple more players are thinking about it. This will be very entertaining to follow although will probably take quite some time for the whole challenge to finish. If Antonius really follows through with this then I am rooting for him (sorry Tom) since I’ve been a fan of his game for quite a while now. Please feel free to comment, would be interesting to hear everybody’s thoughts on this one of a kind call-out that has taken place and who do you think would win? Durrrr or Antonius…

Antonius will take Durrrr anytime! But the thing is over 50,000 hands this becomes a contest of stamina.
