Been playing on Full Tilt for the past couple of weeks and noticed a pattern. Whenever you play casino games during day time in Europe the games tend to be much more calm and civilized. As soon as some americans sit down onto the tables all hell breaks loose. I am not saying that everybody in Europe plays quiet poker while American’s don’t but that is something that I have noticed as of lately…We like to gamble much more over here I guess and make guttsier calls then most, in other terms are bogger “fishes” then most lol…So something to keep in mind when you are picking out a table to sit down and play at online…

So after last night I’ve decided not to play for the remainder of April and hopefully return to some better cards in May. I went by the casino to play cash games last night again and was doing ok for the most part. Then the dreaded Hold’em hand came. I was sitting in small blind and got dealt KdQd so threw in a small raise since no-one else raise before me. Got called by two people and flop came out Ad10d8d. Having flopped the nut flush and a royal flush draw I felt I was in great position to take this pot down so decided to slow play it a bit, I checked and got the action which I wanted. Player after me bet a hefty amount and the player behind him went all-in. I knew that I was up against a set of some sort and maybe a straight in the other mans hand. I obviously called and so did the other player. when cards were flipped one had a set of Queen’s and the other player went all-in with 3d5d…
I was feeling great and hooping that the board wont pair and ill take down the pot then the turn and river came out 2d and 4d!!! Are you kidding me like??? I was like a 95% favorite to take that pot down after the turn and I loose to a runner runner low straight flush. Obviously I was a bit upset so I decided to take of the rest of April, get my composure back and return with a vengeance. It’s not that I have been playing bad that is why I’m not really stressing too much about it, just the other players have been getting way too lucky against me these past 2 weeks. So hopefully this nonsense blows over and May will be a good month. Instead of a complete rest I decided to test the water in another field: sports betting. I found a very reliable interactive gaming site for the best sports betting on the net. It became a good month after all.

Odds are a very important term to every casino player. Why?

What are odds in the first place? Odds, in mathematical terms, refer to a probability percentage of an outcome, that can also be expressed as a ratio or fraction. A roulette wheel has 37 or 38 slots, a playing deck has 54 cards and a die has only six sides - All of these items are able to express probabilities of an occurrence, and that’s what makes odds so influential in gambling.

So, how does finding the best odds in the casino influence a player? Since playing online casino is all about winning, it involves taking risks. That is why with the best odds, a casino player has the best chance of winning. However, if he gets the worst odds, then he knows he has less chance of winning. A high probability of winning, expressed in odds, would make one more confident in betting higher. But, a low probability of winning would make one either back out of betting or, at least, lower the bet.

Finding the best odds in a casino, is a trick every professional casino player uses. An amateur would not necessarily know about this, that’s why they just bet and bet without thinking of the probability of winning or losing.

Knowing one’s advantage in a bet is just one of the tricks that a casino player must be acquainted with in betting. There are ways of finding the best odds in every casino game, and it is up to the casino player to learn and study every game. Odds are not the only way to ensure one’s victory. Every game has its own techniques which the players must use. Winning in a casino takes brilliance and wisdom, as every game entails strategy, good decisions and quick thinking. Only the smart players win in casino games.

While more and more are enjoying the games just for the sake of fun, others resort to gambling to try and earn money. It cannot be denied that casino bets offer millions of dollars, offering an incentive to all gamblers. This is the reason why checking one’s probability of winning is important for every player. One cannot afford to lose and give away large amounts of money!

Had a rough 2 days at the cash tables last week. Got caught for a bad beat both nights. I was playin the $5/$10 limits, dealers choice. first night it was a hand of omaha hi where I had Q,Q,J,A and J,Q were suited…Raised pot before the flop and got called by 3 other players…Flop came Q,4,4 so I was feeling real good…raised pot, two players folded while the last one re-raised me. I obviously called and the turn came out a blank so I raised pot again with him re-raising me all in. At this point I knew the guy either had a set of 4′s or a flush draw which was on the table after the turn. If he has quad’s he would’ve played them differently. So I called with the pot being almost $5000…What do you know a 4 comes out on the river and the guy caught Quad 4′s on me so that was the end of my night.
The next night was even worse if you ask me. It was the same blind limits and a hand of Crazy Pineapple…I was sitting in small blind and had J,J,10…The whole table called and I raised pot. Three players called and flop came out J,6,6. Again I raised pot because I didn’t want the same thing which happened to me the night before to happen again. One player called me and the turn came out a 10 which I threw out after the flop…I raised pot and got re-raised all-in once again with the pot being over 8k. I called and we flipped our cards over. All my opponent had was K,6 of the same suit and ironically of course another 6 came out on the river. These two are definitely pretty unprobable bad beats in my book. I took a few days off after and thinking of either making my return to the tables tonight or tomo so wish me luck

Did you know that slot machines were first introduced in saloons where the prizes were usually free drinks and cigarettes? Slot machines have changed a lot since then, the basic form has remained, the one-arm box type machine that swallows your coins and hopefully dispenses them as well (if you are lucky). Today you dont even have to go down to the casino to play slots, you can play online slots.

Online slots are just as popular as the original game, but now there are more add-ons and bonuses involved. It used to be that we got all dressed up and drove to casinos to play our favorite slots. Today, all you need to do is plug-in, log-in and play. You need a computer with a decent memory to store the software that you download, a fast and reliable Internet connection for uninterrupted gaming and a credit card or any online paying (and receiving) method.

It does help if you have a nice spot at home to increase your gaming experience, this lets you concentrate on the game. A little research about the best online slots casino is a plus. And make sure that you are not a minor; check the legal age for gambling in your country.

All slots tips will tell you to find casinos that have hefty bonus slots and the best terms or conditions of playing. There are two types of slot ‘machines’ available – straight slots and progressive online slots. Straight slots is better for those that want to know how much they are playing for, this means that the players know how much they will win with each winning combination. Progressive online slots have a slightly different rule. The winnings depend on the per cent of the jackpot and the maximum bet. Thus, at any given time of winning, there are different prize amounts. The prize (or jackpot) increases as the risk becomes higher and the combinations much tougher.

Playing slots does not really require much, it sure will entertain you and hopefully make you richer. But can also make you poorer, depends how much you are willing to lose. Following the responsible gambling guidelines will help you minimise your losses.

I was playing online poker with these European guys last night and they all got into this big fight about who was going to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Crazy dudes!

The contest is about each European country writing, composing and singing a pop song. This year the contest is in Moscow and there are 42 countries competing in the event. You can even bet on the outcome at Eurovision betting sites. I’m not sure, I looked at some of the videos on the website but I don’t know who is good enough to win this. These guys got so defensive of their countries it was funny man! I mean how can you get so worked up about a bunch of people performing on a stage, singing a song – just dont get it? Crazy dudes.

So by now I am sure everyone is aware of the Durrrr challenge as well as the fact that the young pro is down quite a large sum of money on the year. Yesterday was a pretty big action day for him as he had decreased his gap to break even. At the beginning of the day he was down an astounding $2million for 09′ but after the long day of work he had proffited $600k which is bringing him closer to breaking even. The main hands were between Dwan going against 2 Full Tilt Pros: Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey. He took quite a big pot away from Hansen when he hit a higher 2 pair on the turn but for some reason he cannot beat Ivey. Throughout the course of the day he had lost a few pots totaling over 100k each to Ivey and continued the recent trend of loosing to him…I have to say that Dwan is gaining more and more respect from me every day for even thoe he is loosing to some for the most part he started taking out huge chunks out of his $2million spread for 09′ and if this keeps going on the not only will he break even but will also be up a huge amount of money after 2009 is all done with.
Good luck to all of the pros and thanks for providing us with such entertaining high price hands to watch.

Played the $10/$20 cash game last night at the casino and it went uqite well Started of slow and actually went down $3000 at first. Bought in for another 3k and started playing a bit better as well as catching the cards I needed to help me. I made one foolish call in an omaha hi hand when I flopped a set of 9′s but the flop was a rainbow 9, 8, Q…Bet pot and got called by two people and turn came out a 7. I checked and the next to players bet pot and then re-raise pot so for me to call if was a bit over 3k…Sometimes I guess you just have to go with your gut feeling and I had one so I made the call and river came out a 9

After picking up that pot it was all smooth sailing from there. Had a huge hand in 7 card stud. I got dealt a set of deuce’s and just kept betting pot with my opponent calling. I had no intention of slow playing the set because that’s how bad things happen in stud hehe…By the 6th card I got a full house and the other player went all-in himself with me obviously making the call. My last card gave me a higher full, Jack’s over deuces and I took down a pot of about $9500…After that hand I had a bit over 17k and figured it was time for me to go home. Bought in for a total of 6k so profit of $11,000. Not a bad night at all if you ask me

Went to play in a small freeze-out tourney yesterday after a long weekend. The whole game was kinda blah, didn’t pick up on any big hands and just stacked up some chips through good play and big bluffs. It was only a 28 person tourney so went by pretty quick. In about 3 hours it was down to 8 people at the final table. Average stack were about 7000 and I had 1800 in chips. To be honest I just got bored and started playing the final table like if I was playing online poker. I must have went all-in about 12 times in a row and I’m not exaggerating…By the time my all-in barrage has ended I had 7800 in chips, all coming from picking up the blinds. Some of the guys got very aggravated as others which were more experienced players at the table kinda knew what I was doing, they just didn’t have reasonable hands to call with.
After skipping a couple of hands I picked up pocket 10′s and went all-in again and got a call from A,10…No Ace came out and that was the first person out from the final table. Having close to 13,000 in chips in front of me now and some breathing room I took out 4 more people in the next 30minutes and once it came down to head’s up play me and the other guy just split it. Must say it was the first time I played that loose at a final table but it was very entertaining. Loved getting under peoples skin with those moves but at the end they did it to themselves. Had they not been playing that tight I would have probably been the 8th person out, glad it worked out the way it did thoe
