Having Some Fun at the Final Table…
Went to play in a small freeze-out tourney yesterday after a long weekend. The whole game was kinda blah, didn’t pick up on any big hands and just stacked up some chips through good play and big bluffs. It was only a 28 person tourney so went by pretty quick. In about 3 hours it was down to 8 people at the final table. Average stack were about 7000 and I had 1800 in chips. To be honest I just got bored and started playing the final table like if I was playing online poker. I must have went all-in about 12 times in a row and I’m not exaggerating…By the time my all-in barrage has ended I had 7800 in chips, all coming from picking up the blinds. Some of the guys got very aggravated as others which were more experienced players at the table kinda knew what I was doing, they just didn’t have reasonable hands to call with.
After skipping a couple of hands I picked up pocket 10′s and went all-in again and got a call from A,10…No Ace came out and that was the first person out from the final table. Having close to 13,000 in chips in front of me now and some breathing room I took out 4 more people in the next 30minutes and once it came down to head’s up play me and the other guy just split it. Must say it was the first time I played that loose at a final table but it was very entertaining. Loved getting under peoples skin with those moves but at the end they did it to themselves. Had they not been playing that tight I would have probably been the 8th person out, glad it worked out the way it did thoe

That damn river card!!!
Decided to play a bit of online poker yesterday. After losing to that low straight flush of hearts I was so mad!! Just needed to walk away and stay away until I calmed down. I mean how many times is that gonna happen to you??? I figure the worst thing you can do is go back into the casino on tilt, to try and win your money back!
I usually only play poker online at the best online casinos and poker rooms, don’t trust any old place. Had mixed luck online, but at least I wasn’t losing as bad as I have been in the cash games – and that damn river card didn’t give anyone a straight flush! Enjoyed the pace of playing poker online again, at least it moves along quick and you dont have to listen to all the stuff the other players have to say. Not having much luck on the flop… just the way it goes sometimes!!

Worst bad beat I ever had!!!
So I went to play in a cash game last night at the casino. Minimum Buy-in was $2000 with the blinds being $10/$20…I sat down at the table with $2500 and was playing a good game. Making all the hard tough right calls and at the same time making some big folds which ended up to be correct. Then the worst hand I ever had came. By then I had about $5400 and got dealt QJ of heart’s…Threw in a small raise and two people made the call. Flop: A,K,4 of hearts…I thought I hit the lotto, Nut Flush with a Royal Draw, it doesn’t get much better than this. Checked it, one player bet $400 with the other one making the call. I just made the call to get more money out of them. Next card was a 2 of hearts which kinda worried me since one of them just might have 5,6 of Hearts…So i bet out $800 and was called and then re-raised by the next player all-in…Of course I made the call since I was holding the Nuts and the other guy did turn out to have 5,6 of heart’s so he only had one out in the whole deck. Guess what came out next? It was the 3 of hearts giving this idiot a low straight flush and beating me. It doesn’t get much worse than that if you asked me. I wanted to flip the table over after that hand…I hope my luck changes for the better soon, lost a decent amount of money in the past week in cash games…

Taking a break…
Feeling a bit better now… had a rest, took a break from poker yesterday and did something different to get my mind right. You should try it… does you the world of good, I feel like a new man… ready to take on the world.
Watched “Junior” trying to play a bit of basketball last night… oh man… what a joke! The guy is a 2 meter tall giant but he’s got two left feet, the dude keeps trippin over himself… so eventually they figured, heh “Junior” you stand by the basket and we’ll pass you the ball… all you have to do is put it in… stop running around falling over and just stay near the basket… it was funny!
Well the look on “Junior’s” face was funny… hope he doesn’t read poker blogs… he’s a big guy!
Then I spent a bit of time looking for some top online casino software – need to upgrade my casino games, get some new stuff going.
Also went out with a few friends to celebrate St Patricks day, its crazy what people wear on St Patricks day!! There was this one dude dressed in a green jacket, bright green tights and a green top hat – Dude you look like a freak, a green freak! Suppose its one day when you can look like a freak, anyway after a couple of beers who cares, he certainly didn’t!!!
Going to try and be a bit more patient now. Taking a break helps get your mind right!

Bad Run lately
Been feeling a bit sick for the past couple of days and it has resulted in affecting my game in a bad way. Got knocked out of the tourney last night after only about an hour and sunday night lost some money in a cash game. Online has been the same story and I only have myself to blame. Playing way too many hands that shouldn’t even be played and very impatient with the betting etc. So the verdict is, DO NOT PLAY WHEN YOU AREN’T FEELING WELL…It wont give you a good result and will probably cost you a decent amount of money.

Tilt….
So played in a tourney of 47 last night. It was unlimited re-buys for the first hour with a double add on option before the 1st break. The starting chip stack was 1000 and by the time the break came around I had about 3400 without having to do any re-buys and got the double add on which brough my stack to 5400 while the average was around 3k…As the tournament progressed I played well and by the time there were 19 of us left I had about 14k in chips with the average being about 8k. Then I stopped getting playable hands and with the blinds being quite large already they started depleting my stack. It was time to make a move!!!
I was in small blind at the 600/1200 level, with A10 suited and everyone folded so I raised to 3600. The big blind went all-in 4000 so obviously I called. He flipped over QJ so I wasn’t worried about it. Of course this time around on the river a Q came out and he ended up taking the pot. I dont care if 3 Queen’s came out on the flop, it would actually be pretty cool but I have when I get beat by the river card. My stack being 10000 now and me being pissed next hand I went all-in with pocket 5′s. Ironically the same player had JJ and ended up winning which put me down to 2000 in chips and at that point my chances were quite slim to make it to the final table which was set to be 9 people. I ended up getting eliminated in 10th place and I feel that it was my own fault as I shouldn’t have pushed all-in on a pair of 5′s as I was on the button and had a chance to see a few free hands while the button was moving around the table and having 10000 I was still in pretty good position. That river card and being on tilt is a bitch isn’t it…..lol
